Who We Are

 Atlantic Technical Management (ATM) was founded over 30 years ago in response to a growing need for marine expertise for the oil & chemical industry. ATM provides expert services, which include:

• Ship & Barge Inspections under the SIRE system;

• Ship & Barge screening prior to trade;
• Risk Assessments for Ship/Shore Interface
• Owner Audits for Ship & Barges

• Safety Training for Marine Terminals & Personnel

ATM draws on a vast reservoir of marine expertise among its team of Master Mariners, Chief Engineers, and USCG safety inspectors. ATM has performed over 10,000 SIRE inspections, both ships & barges, and screened more than 12,000 vessels, both ships & barges. ATM has developed a proprietary internet based vetting system that is specifically tailored to a company’s individual ship vetting requirements. ATM provides ship and barge inspections throughout the US, Canada, Caribbean Basin and Central & South America. Our inspectors provide high quality inspections in a timely and cost effective manner. ATM prides itself on getting the job done in even the most out of the way port and with minimal lead time.

Safety and security have become paramount in maritime operations and port operations. ATM has the personnel and the resources to meet these requirements.
